Installation Notes for repowering some Troybilt Pony 
Models with the Briggs 126392-0070 Intek.

Our thanks go out to Paul Duyck at Brown & Wiser for coming up with a fix for repowering the Troybilt Pony tiller with the Intek OHV engine model 126392-0070. This has the auxiliary PTO shaft on the engine, however the PTO shaft is considerably lower than its L-Head counterpart.

  1. Disconnect throttle cable from engine
  2. Remove belt guard
  3. Remove engine mount bolts (and engine guard if equipped)
  4. Remove original engine from equipment
  5. Transfer drive pulleys from original engine to new Intek engine
  6. Install new drive belts (* replace original main drive belt with belt 2 inches LONGER. (68-1035) Replace reverse drive belt with belt 1 inch SHORTER (37243).
  7. Install Briggs & Stratton engine spacer kit number 695154
  8. Install Intek engine onto equipment
  9. Install engine mounting bolts (longer bolts will be required)
  10. Install belt cover
  11. Lengthen throttle control wire/casing
  12. Service engine and test run
