All 422700, 42A700, 42D700 & Similar opposed Twin
Cylinders Engines Have Been Discontinued. They did not meet the Federal
EPA Standards and are out of production. Short Blocks are also sold
out.
You will have to repair with individual parts.
Several Customers have successfully repowered there
equipment with the Briggs Intek Over Head Valve Style Engines and also
the Kohler Command OHV engine. This will require a muffler purchase
from your lawnmower manufacturer. Most manufacturers have offered
both style engines with your equipment. You should contact them and
see what engines they have used and if they have a muffler available for
the Briggs Intek or Kohler Command.
